The 2024 edition of Chambers Asia Pacific has recognised Squire Patton Boggs’ expertise in the region, with 10 of the firm’s practices and 14 lawyers recommended in the guide. This includes a new ranking in Australia for the firm’s Corporate team, in addition to retaining its Band 1 ranking for Arbitration in Singapore.

In the 2024 guide, Chambers notes: “The Australian arm of Squire Patton Boggs’ global practice offers expertise in acquisitions, takeovers and sales for companies and high net worth individuals, catering to Australian and US clients, as well as international clients from the UK, Japan and other jurisdictions.” Clients remarked: “They have great legal knowledge and the ability to be able to see around corners for scenarios that we hadn't considered but were critical.

Other practices in Australia to be commended by clients include the “responsive and nimble” construction team, while the employment team was noted for its “excellent grasp of complex legal matters and an ability to position legal risk in a pragmatic way,” and the real estate team “were patient, considerate and incredibly helpful in resolving complicated property issues.

In Singapore, the firm’s “excellent international public law practice,” was highlighted by Chambers, its employment practice was praised by clients for being “very strategic” with “excellent high-level insight,” while its shipping team was noted as “very timely and efficient.

The Tokyo life sciences lawyers were recognised for their established track record of handling work for Japanese pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies and their “highly specialised advice.
