Health Care Reform Task Force

The US health care reform legislation of 2010 introduced significant changes to the country’s health care and other industries. Although most business leaders have a general knowledge of the reform legislation, many are beginning to ask, “What does this mean for our businesses?”
The new laws impact care providers, insurance companies, pharmaceutical and medical device businesses, and employers, with changes ranging from strengthened fraud prevention measures and the expansion of state Medicaid programs to an increased focus on health care technology and the introduction of state-based exchanges for individual insurance. Expanded access to health care will be implemented and paid for through new mandates, fees, health care payment reform, insurance exchanges and incentives.
To help our clients take advantage of new opportunities and meet the compliance challenges of the changing environment, Squire Sanders has created a Health Care Reform Task Force to develop forward-looking legal advice and solutions for clients in the many areas affected by reform.
