In the United States, approximately 20 states require utilities to generate a minimum percentage of electricity using renewable fuel sources by an established date. In addition, tax incentives and green credits have resulted in a greater interest and growth in the renewable industry. Improved technology is lowering generation costs, making renewable energy all the more attractive.
