For more than half a century, Squire Sanders has helped the aviation and transportation industries stay on the move. Our aviation practice is one of the oldest and broadest among major US law firms. Our aviation practice includes the representation of more than three dozen airlines in the United States and around the world as well as airports, airline trade groups, Internet travel services, finance companies, foreign governments, computer reservation system operators, tour operators, travel agent industry associations, and aircraft equipment manufacturers and service providers.

Our aviation practice is concentrated in our Washington DC office, which works with our other offices throughout the United States, Asia, Latin America and Europe enabling us to provide service to clients when and where needed. Our aviation lawyers are recognized widely for their expertise in all aspects of international aviation, and are called upon frequently to participate in and speak at high level industry conferences and seminars.

Much of our work involves the US Departments of Transportation, Justice, State and Homeland Security, as well as other federal regulatory agencies including Customs and Border Protection, the Transportation Security Administration, NTSB, APHIS and others. In addition to advice on regulatory policies and steps needed for regulatory compliance, our services include prosecuting applications for new routes and other operating authorizations for US and foreign airlines, counseling on code-sharing arrangements involving strategic marketing alliances, advising on commercial agreements affecting the airline industry, defending and settling administrative enforcement proceedings, addressing computer reservation system issues, counseling on labor and employment, tax and environmental matters, and advising on aircraft acquisition, leasing and registration. Working with our firm's aviation practitioners are other Squire Sanders lawyers who focus on labor, antitrust, tax, finance immigration and corporate/commercial matters.
