- Advising a Czech Republic-based company in the acquisition of a Hungary-based detonation company.
- Representing the lead agent in a US$82 million secured credit facility financing for a Midwestern private equity fund’s purchase of a hydraulic system distribution company.
- Serving as bond counsel to Florida’s Citizens Property Insurance Corporation in its issuance of more than US$5.6 billion in tax exempt and taxable senior secured bonds and refunding bonds to augment the resources of its High-Risk Account and its Personal Lines Account/Commercial Lines Account. Citizens is a statutorily created insurer of last resort that provides property and casualty insurance to qualified risk (certain claims arising from windstorm and other weather-related events).
- Representing the lead agent in connection with a US$150 million multicurrency, cross-border syndicated secured credit facility for an industrial component manufacturer.
- Causing a motion for class certification to be withdrawn representing a nonprofit managed care company in the United States in a putative class action brought by physicians challenging the legality of our client's reimbursement and claims-handling practices and seeking to represent a class of health care providers that had provided medical services to our client's insured.
- Representing the lead agent in a syndicated secured revolving credit facility aggregating US$80 million for a metals warehouser.
- Representing the US-based life insurance subsidiary of a Europe-based insurance company in a class action that alleged securities fraud in the sale of variable life insurance products.
- Representing the lead agent in connection with a US$75 million syndicated credit facility for an aerospace service company.
- Representing the lead arranger and agent in the restructuring of syndicated secured multicurrency revolving credit and term loan facilities aggregating US$178 million for an international manufacturing group, involving both US and non-US collateral and intercreditor arrangements with two other debt facilities.
- Representing the lead agent in connection with a US$40 million syndicated secured credit facility for a private equity fund purchase of a materials manufacturing company.
